Cornus Carnegie October Update

Over the past month, the team has made tremendous progress with the most notable being the last concrete pour, on level 5, which is now complete!

As there has been so much progress, we thought it would be easier if we took you on a level-by-level walking tour, starting with the ground floor. Last month, we saw the start of the window installation, which has now been completed, in conjunction with the plumbing, electrical and mechanical rough-ins. The walls have been sheeted with plaster in preparation for their first coat of paint.

Moving on up to level 1, the wall framing is currently being installed whilst the plumbing, mechanical and electrical rough-in work has also commenced. The past few weeks have also seen the window installation completed. 

Next, on level 2, the external wall framing has been erected with the mechanical works also commencing. The windows were delivered this week making way for the installation to now commence. 

As we move up the building, it’s mostly only structural works that are getting completed, with level 3’s formwork removed and which has made way for the waterproofing work to commence. 

On level 5, our penthouse apartments, the final concrete pour was completed earlier in the week. Soon the level 4 & 5 steps will be poured and then the top-level blue steel framing installation will commence. 

Over the next few weeks, we will be removing the crane to make way for the scaffolding. More exterior work will be completed including the paneling and renders base coat, in conjunction with level 5’s frame.
