Over the past month, the Cornus Oakleigh Project has seen significant progress, with several key milestones achieved. The installation of the apartment windows has been a major focus, with completion up to level 3, whilst the level 4 windows are nearing 80% completion.
Additionally, substantial progress has been made on the apartment services, with the rough-in work close to 80% finished on level 3. The exterior rendering for the apartments has been completed up to level 2, marking a significant step forward in the project's external appearance.
Internally, significant work has been completed on the apartments. Plastering has been fully completed on the ground floor and level 1, while painting has been finished on the ground level. Joinery installation is currently at 50% on the ground level, and internal tiling is also halfway completed on the same level.
Furthermore, balcony balustrade posts have been installed up to Level 1, enhancing both the safety and aesthetics of the building's outdoor spaces. The project has achieved milestones in essential infrastructure, with the completion of the substation fit-out ensuring the necessary utilities are in place for the building's operations. Additionally, securing a permanent water connection marks a critical step forward, providing essential services for the future occupants of the apartments.
Looking ahead, there are several important tasks on the horizon. The tower crane is scheduled to be dismantled in the coming weeks, marking a transition in the project's construction phase. Apartment services rough-in work will continue, along with external waterproofing and further progress on internal framing and window installation.
Additionally, the focus will remain on completing external elements such as cladding and rendering, while internal tasks including waterproofing, tiling, painting and joinery installation will continue in parallel.
